I am a self-taught jewelry artist and have been creating wearable art jewelry for the past 6 years.
I have always had an imaginative ability in creating art, requiring skillful use of my hands. Memories of my childhood are of my sister and I creating beads and baubles out of colorful rolled up papers, buttons and stones. My mom has always been an inspiration to me, an accomplished artist herself, she always encouraged her children to try all different aspects of art.
A very creative and talented friend of mine, who is a jewelry artist herself, took me to my first big bead and gemstone show and I knew it was destiny. Creating jewelry started out as a hobby which quickly turned into an obsession. Starting out making jewelry for family and friends, and now launching my jewelry website.
Originally from California, I now make my home in Wisconsin, working full-time designing and creating wearable art jewelry, and living with my boyfriend, two cats and one Golden retriever.
My jewelry has a elegant look with a rustic simplicity. I have a love of all things rustic and timeworn and try to incorporate that look into my jewelry. Each piece is individually hand-created, using quality materials, and great attention to detail. Most of my jewelry is made with oxidized sterling silver to give it a rustic worn patina. I have also been using solid copper and soon will be making my own handcrafted headpins, earwires and bead caps to give it a more worn, tarnished completely handmade look with a little bling. My pieces are designed to go great with your favorite jeans or your little black dress, and each piece is one-of-a-kind.
